Report this message By marialisa on 25th Sep 2010Dan and I had been together since 2007. It really breaks my to lose him for i can't easily let go all the happy and sad moments we shared together for so long.
Wherever you are now, Dan (sweetheart), I want you to know that I'm so much proud of you for overcoming all the trials we struggled together. I'm happy too, that at last, you accepted God in your life. Though God did not add another year to your life, you will always stay alive in my heart. I know God has a purpose for letting this all happen.
Thank you, Dan (sweetheart), for sharing your life with me, and for making me a part of your life as well. Through you, I've met good people like your Dad Cris, your sister Rachel and your friends Ms. Sandy Bucao and Mr. Mario Rabang. They have been God and supportive to me. I'm so grateful that they comfort me like a family.
May you rest in peace, my love. I will really miss you. My prayers are always with you.
I LOVE YOU, DAN.

Report this message By rachel lingard on 21st Sep 2010Words don't describe my feelings as this doesn't seem real and everyone will agree it definitely isn't fair as such a young soul should not have been taken from us so suddenly when he had everything in life to live for.
As brother and sister we would argue as all siblings do, but we where always there for each other through good times and bad and the memories i have of such happy times shared within such a loving family will stay with me always.
Danny was no angel, he was a little devil when younger but he had such a big heart and would do anything for anyone. If he had a problem which his big sister couldn't help with he was lucky as his friends Graham and Wagsy would be there for him. Graham especially in later years became his second family and if he wasn't at home with us you know you would find him at Gray's.
Report this message By rachel lingard on 21st Sep 2010Danny moved to the phillipines a few years back and i am pleased he found true happiness with Lisa, they where planning their lives together, marriage and a family. It's so sad as he was so happy, loved and content with the life they shared that their dreams will never come true. I will be eternally grateful to Lisa for all the happiness she brought to Danny's life and also for being there for my Dad when Danny was taken from us.
One thing i do know is Danny lived his life to the full and i can honestly say he has accomplished more in his short life than most of us ever will, everyday was a new adventure for him.
His sense of humor was unique he recently invested in a plantation and i received a job offer from him with what he called great terms. 50p an hour 12 hours a day 6 days a week. He said Sunday's where free to complete the washing and cleaning and all other women's work he would need doing.
Report this message By rachel lingard on 21st Sep 2010Danny was so loved and so respected by all who knew him which makes my dad and me so proud and as everyone knows including Danny himself he was my Mum's pride and joy from the day he was born. We were all so lucky to have been part of his life.
My Dad was with Danny at the end and i know Danny found peace having his best friend our Dad there with him, loving him as always unconditionally.
heaven got back one of their angels the day they took our Mum and now they have another her beautiful boy Danny. It's not fair to those left behind and I don't understand why this had to happen but they are now together again watching over Dad and Me protecting us and with us in spirit everyday.
I know how truly blessed we where to have Danny in our lives and the memories will stay in our hearts forever and Danny i just wanted to say we will miss you and love you always and one day we will be together again.
God Bless my beautiful boy xxx
Report this message By Sandy E. Bucao on 19th Sep 2010Though I've known Danny for only short period of time, I had admired his sense of humor, friendliness, respect for other people and most of all, his courage to fight for life 'til his very last.
To Danny, you shall always remain in our hearts... your mementos among us your friends in Philippines will remain in perpetuity.Am sure that you are now at peace with your Creator.
To Danny's bereaved family - Chris, Rachel and Lisa, be well and stay happy 'cause that is what Danny's wishes for you are. Our prayers are with you and God bless you always!
Report this message By Ed Mae (Cebu) on 17th Sep 2010We wish to extend our profound condolences to Danny's grieving family including Lisa. We are one of the buyers of Danny's property in Cebu. Although we haven't had the chance of meeting Danny & Lisa in person, we have talked lengthily by phone and exchanged email messages & jokes like old friends do. We were supposed to meet with them this summer as they were planning to visit Cebu particularly in Moalboal for a diving escapade but his plan did not materialize. In the short span of time that we know him, his kindness & gentle ways were unmistakable. We have grown fond of him and we were utterly shocked of his untimely demise. The least that we can do now is to offer prayers for the eternal repose of his soul. He may have claimed that he doesn't have a religion but his upright character and other-centeredness are testament enough to his Christian upbringing and far superior than those who claim to have strong religious leanings but have negative practices in their everyday lives.

to daniel, i know that youre in heaven right now ... by the way, im sidney john francisco, one of his nurse and he considered me as one of his closest friend when he was admitted at the ICU for several weeks...for me, i can say that he's the greatest man that i have met in my life! he's very kind, gentle and very strong.. i should say, the strongest and with great fighting spirit to face his difficulties in life..
he once said to me that he has no religion, but he was given with a rosary and handkerchief by lisa and he kept that in his hands till the lastbreath of his life.. he believes in faith and he said those thing made him closer to god and his family...
he celebrated his lastbirthday with us at the ICU, though he was really sick, i can see to him that he was really happy that time..
it made me cry when i saw him giving up with his battle... i even asked him if he was ok that moment, he only gave me with a sweet smile saying that hes fine...later in the end, we all knew that hes gone...
daniel, i know that you have directed me into this page .. at this moment i have no idea that this site is existing and found out that youll be cremated this week..
maraming salamat..youre my idol ! god knows that i admire your strenght and courage... you have made a great impact in my life now coz youre my inspiration.. i need to face all the challenges with faith from god.. you may be a foreigner , but you have the heart of a true filipino! i admire you for even learning our native language! youre such a great man dude!
i know that you are with GOD now and youre an angel already to your family and most especially to lisa that you truly loved...
may you rest in peace kuya daniel lingard...
