Report this message By Mark Price on 5th Oct 2010Arpad was an inspiration to us all. Always smiling, always driven never letting any of lifes hardships get him down.
He displayed all the selfless qualities and character to the end and I was lucky enough to have talked and laughed with him towards the end.
We love you Arp.

Report this message By Fred Seeley on 9th Sep 2010We were mates since young children and later in life we crossed path on a regular basis.
Arp was always extremely working and coming up with new businesses. I never knew he had cancer and he was always happy and smiling when we met.
He said to me a few years ago "don't hold off doing things, enjoy life whilst you can".
Its a massive shock to me that he has gone and being the same age, brings the need to enjoy life a little more home.
My condolences go out to his family.
I will miss you Arp.

Report this message By Julia Mottershead on 18th Aug 2010Although I never knew Arpad as an adult, he was one very special boy, and a firm favourite with the staff on Ward 2 where my mother nursed on nights in the old Derby Childrens North street hospital, for around 30 years. Then as a nursing Cadet myself, I met him quite a few times, and admired his bravery and loved his big smile as I helped care for him, he was just one of the patients we never forgot.

Report this message By Richard Insley on 17th Aug 2010I worked with Arp for 2 years at Ryder Truck Rental, he was a great guy and nothing was too much trouble. We ran the London Marathon side by side in 1998 and it will be a day that we shared that I will never forget. I have lost touch with him because I have been in Canada for the last 6 years and I returned for a visit this week and was shocked to read of his death in the paper. He was a great friend and will be sadly missed.

Report this message By Ron Griffiths on 9th Aug 2010Oh how my heart aches of your passing as I reflect on the times we spent together at Spondon Caravans, Happy days. Although I did not see you much when we left Spondon, when we did catch up with each other it was like we had only seen each other yesterday such was our friendship. Arp you will not be forgotten for your sense of humour, your straight talking and your many entrepreneurial business ideas oh and posing with the mobile phones when they first hit the market place. Never did get that night out with all the old Spondon lads together but at least now mate you will no longer be suffering. It was an absolute pleasure and a privilege to know you mate rest in peace. Ron.
