• I was fortunate to...

  I was fortunate to know Adam personally and his lovely wife Sheila and in fact spoke to him only a few weeks ago when bumping in to him in Burnley town centre. He was a great bloke and if you knew him you were treated as a lifelong friend. On the soccer pitch he was awesome not to be tangled with as many top players were quick to acknowledge. One if not the greatest game he played for the Clarets took place in the 6th round of the F.A cup against Sheffield Weds. at Hillsborough. A full house witnessed a goalkeeping display out of this world. Burnley that day were outclassed by an excellent side who looked on the balance of play to have the game sewn up, but Adam had other ideas and if ever the saying " They shall not pass" applied it was that day. Time and time again the ball was hammered towards the Burnley net only for the big feller to deny them. I can see now Wednesday players shaking their heads in amazement and obviously thing what have we to do to score. The game ended no score and Burnley won the replay.

• RIP to a true...

  RIP to a true legend. He gave tremendous service to our rivals at Burnley & to ourselves at Blackburn Rovers. We will always fondly remember him.
