Tributes have been paid to a national salsa champion who taught in Croydon.

Lee Wright died in the collision involving three vehicles in Malaga, Spain, in the early hours of 9 November 2008, two days after his 24th birthday.

Lee was a popular figure on Croydon's dance scene and had been a salsa instructor.

The instructor and his dance partner Shelly Cook were named UK National Professional Champions the past two years running.

They also picked up a silver medal at the European Salsa Masters Championships in 2006.

The pair also experienced success on the continent after winning a silver medal at the European Salsa Masters Championships in 2006.

    I knew Lee as a baby and he was a bubbly boy and very cheeky, i have my memories of lee , taking him out in his buggy and going to the park with him, this news saddens me as such a young life can be taken away.
    rest in peace Lee i hope you have met up with your grandma.
