    Obituary

In the early 1950's I (new arrival) from England I was working at International motors on hollywood Blvd.

Working right next to me was Phil Hill.

We chatted all day about this n' that, his time in Coventry with the Jaguar Motor car Company. His time when he lived in Earlsdon with an English family.

I was only 23/24 yrs old but looking back I recognized Phill was special but I was to young to know or see the greatness in him.

He was a race car driver, but he was the perfect gentleman, he made such an impact on me that I still think of our time at work. Coventry was my home town.

One day he said, Trevor I am going to drive this old Allard up Outpost Drive in Hollywood, let's go.

To be brief, Phil that was one heck of a thrill, but please never ask me to do that again, ............... never.

He gave me that 'quirky' smile, he never said a word.

Rest in peace Phil, I am a better man for knowing you.
