  • Mugs, (salute) here's to...

Mugs, (salute) here's to all the online battles we served in, when the only way out was to step up and face adversity full on - you were there, alongside us online comrades.
May you carry the same sentiment on to wherever destiny now takes you.
While we may have only met through the virtual battlefield, it is still an accurate guage with which to spot the human characteristics that make a person who they are in real life. Mugs you were a real solider, someone we could rely on when we needed help. I'll not forget that.

  • Having known Mugs 'virtually'...

Having known Mugs 'virtually' for almost 4 years I can honestly say he'll be missed by many.
Had many fun times and wasted many happy hours in his company.

As with most of us gamers always looking for the fun side to things and having a laugh with a bunch of virtual mates who are always there for when you need their help or advice, guess the one time we were needed most we couldn't have been there but rest assured his memory will stick with all of us.

Truely saddened at his early loss and know that no words will make it any less painful for his family and RL friends.

  • Never met him in...

Never met him in person, but have competed alongside/against him many times online, both in the Battlefield series of games and most recently the GTR2 racing game.

The upcoming racing season will be diminished in his absense, but those who knew him knew and respected his competitive spirit.

We shall race on in remembrance.

  • Chris will be missed...

Chris will be missed by all his online gaming friends. From the virtual battlefield to the virtual racetrack, he ploughed so much into his gaming. I'm glad I had the chance to race against him, he was a worthy opponent on the track and always good for a laugh.

    RIP #55

  • I never knew Chris,...

I never knew Chris, I can only claim to have raced against him twice and I can also confirm that on Team Speak he had us laughing.

I have no memory of him although through gaming, we are a family and famlies help their own.

I have the most sincerest of condolences for Chris's family, to be taken so quickly from them is most saddening.

Chris, you have inspired so many people and touched their souls.

    RIP mate.

  • The various online communities...

The various online communities that Chris belonged to (=XDC=, 7thDR, Hussars or RD to name a few) are all shocked and saddened to hear of the news. Our thoughts go out to his family. Chris played an active role in the lives of those he played with and will be missed. His development of the r-con game server management tool was a great contribution to online gaming used by thousands of gamers around the world. I will miss his banter on teamspeak and his ability to run rings round other gamers.

Absolutely gutted, Mugs was a superb lad, as mentioned he always added the "lol" bit at the end of everything, made me smile as most of the time it wasn't funny ;)

Your going to be missed around the forums/MSN mate

My condolences go out to his Family

  • It was a sad...

It was a sad day yesterday......First there seemed to be unconfirmed reports that Chris had passed but we could find no further information. Everyone seemed to cling to to the hope that the announcement on here was in reference to another Chris Noble but sadly last night our worst fears were confirmed by a friend of his via facebook.

We in the gaming community are often critised by the media and uninformed public as being social inadequates with no life and no friends, that is so untrue! The loss of Chris aka Mugworth is being felt right now by a great many people Worldwide and the comments left on various forums about his premature passing are testiment to the man and his strength of character; for us his passing is all too real.

My thoughts go out to his family, i hope you find comfort knowing that Chris was a well liked and respected player in various gaming communities.

    Sleep well =XDC= mugworth..........

  • I too knew Chris...

I too knew Chris through =XDC= where I spent many an evening whiling away my time with Chris on Teamspeak. Beyond just playing games, we all viewed Chris as a friend and an gifted programmer who touched all our lives. R.I.P. buddy, you are already missed by all at XDC towers, you'll be in my thoughts and prayers.

  • I would like to...

I would like to pass on my sincere condolences to Chris's ffamily and friends .

I am a member of the online gaming community that Chris was also part of. We played games together often having met through the Battle Field 1942 community and through a shared love of motor racing games. Chris bought his first gaming driving wheel after hearing of my experience with one. It has to be said he was always a far faster and talented driver than I could ever hope to be.

Chris made a huge contribution to the gaming world through his skilled game play, enthusiasm and his programing skills which he used to great effect in modding games and software development
    .
News of Chris's death has really shaken me as real life has crossed over to the virtual world and I can say whole heartedly that he may be gone but he will never be forgotten.

    RIP

  • Well it's come as...

Well it's come as a shock to hear the news of this sad loss and my condolences go out to his family and all those who were Close to Chris.
Chris was an active member of the online gaming comunity and that is how I came to know him. As part of the clan =XDC=, Mugworth (as he was known), was a much loved and entertaining character. His skills were not just in the game though as Chris is also credited for his programming of software. His most popular creation being the admin tool for the battlefield series which has been used by thousands of players all over the world. I for one know I will miss his sillyness over teamspeak and his comments that always seemed to post an "lol" (laughs out loud) even if the comment wasnt amusing ;P
As a member of =XDC= he will be sadly missed by all and not just our clan but those that played alongside us such as 7th DR and the 1st Hussars. A great guy!
    RIP Chris
