TURGOOSE
On December 29, 2005, Sharon, aged 41 years, much loved mother of Karl, Mathew, Jamie and Thomas.
Service Grimsby Crematorium, on Tuesday, January 10, at 2.20pm. Flowers may be sent to Kettle Limited, 135 Granville Street, Grimsby, or if desired donations for Cancer Research UK may be sent to Mrs J Black, 30 Augusta Street, Grimsby, DN34 4TJ.

    To have raised such a fine boy, Sharon would have had to been an angel.
    Seriously, I am so moved by her story. My dear wife Susie is a 10 year survivor. My only daughter in law, Jonie, is now stage 4. God Bless all the women for the garbage they endure.

    I did not know her but seen the the movie and I have one thing to share and that is how lovely mother she was behind cameras. Great and beautiful. Rest in Peace

  • Sharon Turgoose is the...

    Sharon Turgoose is the mother of young actor Thomas Turgoose who starred in the 2006 film This Is England. Sharon died shortly after filming was completed but had seen footage of her son acting which reportedly brought her to tears.

    Director Shane Meadows dedicated This Is England to Sharon’s memory. Thomas went on to win the Most Promising Newcomer prize at the British Independent Film Awards.

    Sharon had raised Thomas and his three older brothers on her own following her divorce from husband Rob in 1993. They lived in Grimsby where parts of This Is England were shot.
