STEELE Edward (Ted). Widower of June, passed away peacefully on Sunday 22nd February aged 86. He will be greatly missed by all members of his Family and his friends but know he will be happy to be reunited with his beloved wife. Loving father to Fiona and Allan. Grandfather to Elliot, Lauren, Olivia and Paige. Both of you will always be in our thoughts and hearts. The Funeral service will take place on the 16th February at St Peter's Church, Portishead at 1pm followed by refreshments at Clarence House. Family flowers only. Donations are invited for " The Stroke Association" c/o F H Halliday & Son, Funeral Directors, High Street, Portishead, Tel no 01275 842120.

  • Farewell Ted

    There's not much to say really; I wish I had known Ted better. I do have very fond memories of him that I treasure, from the times he and June came to Canada and the few times I got over there. I think of him almost every time I get on a plane. And I don't know how he'd feel about me saying this but I'm always amazed that Ted was flying Spitfires at an age that, these days, you'd have trouble getting a full drivers license.
