Nathan Cook - d.o.b. 23rd April 1997 Our wonderful son went to sleep on 28th December 2011 aged 14, his courage and dignity to the end was unbelievable. We have been to hell and back and it felt like nothing else mattered. However, what we didn't bank on was the wave of support that has helped so much. The flowers, the words of sympathy, the cards, the letters, the phone calls, the text messages, the tribute at the rec, the cuddles, the teddy bears, the pictures, the rugby top and anything we've missed, have been the most unbelievable inspiration at the time when we needed it most. Thanks to all our family, our extended family, our friends and neighbours, Nathan's friends, Adam's friends, all the Sleaford school kids, Sleaford Rugby Club, Heckington Cricket Club, Tesco's - the list is endless, if we've missed you, forgive us, it is not on purpose. If anyone thinks there is nothing good about Sleaford, think again. The pride we feel from seeing how many people Nathan touched is truly glorious; it will help give us the strength to get through this. We cannot thank you enough, you have all been absolutely brilliant, it helps to know we brought up a star in the right way - look into the sky at night and look for the brightest one! Nathan, you are our 'big man', we love you now and always, we will never forget you - love Mum and 'Daddy' x We need to respect the circumstances, but when we say goodbye to Nathan it needs to be a celebration of his time on earth and all he achieved. Please wear bright colours and make him proud. Nathan's funeral will be held at St Denys' Church, Sleaford on Monday 9th January at 12.30 p.m. followed by private cremation. Flowers welcome or donations if preferred to Nottingham University Hospitals Charity (for Leukaemia Research) may be left in Church or sent to J E Severs Funeral Service, 26 Main Road, Little Hale, Sleaford, Lincs.
